This weekend, I spent three days at Crater Lake. Graced with glorious weather, I enjoyed snowshoeing along the rim, sledding and going out for my first night photography sessions. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip:
First time to Crater Lake? Go on the free, guided snowshoe tour at the rim in the winter. Just make sure to book in advance!
Wow! I thought the park was closed in the winter because snow made it impassible! What a beautiful setting for a winter trek!
In the winter you can drive up to the visitor center on the rim, but the drive is closed because of snow. So you can still see a lot of the lake or take the trek on snowshoes! Definitely worth a visit in the winter.
Your photos are gorgeous. So often I am out in beautiful landscapes like these and wish I could capture the beauty on film–you have definitely managed to do so!
