The seasons are finally starting to change; there is a chill in the air, a few days of rain have fallen, and leaves are floating to the ground. Soon winter will be here and we will be able to stop incessantly checking our iPhone weather apps to see if there is snow on the way!
To get in the mood for those soon-to-be powder turns, check out one of the m any ski film premieres this fall! You’ll soon be swooning over the pros’ amazing abilities to fly down steep peaks, get way more air than you, and take powder hits to the face like it was powder sugar.
In Portland this Saturday evening, MSP Movies is showing their picture, Fade to Winter. The film travels the world in search for the best snow, taking viewers to Japan, Italy, Alaska, Iceland, Colorado and North East US, and will remind you why you love skiing – even if the snow isn’t amazing every year. And here in the Pacific Northwest, we can certainly relate to that!
The film starts at 8:00 p.m. at the Aladdin Theater (3017 SE Milwaukie Ave) and doors open at 7:00 p.m. You can still get tickets online, at the box office, or at EVO. They will be giving away free two-for-one lift tickets for Mt. Hood Meadows, plus other prizes from Under Armour, Head Skis, Anon Googles, Jayird Audio, Smith Optics, and more!
Hope to see you there and to swap stories about last year’s best ski days before the film!
